Ego Eradicator

Humanity is going through a huge transition. The potential of this time is wonderfully miraculous, yet we can easily feel overwhelmed and under prepared, causing an unprecedented degree of stress in the collective consciousness. People are longing for joy, fulfillment and happiness, yet are carrying a persistent feeling of heaviness and anxiety. What if we had a miraculous technique which would enable us to shift directly out of fear and into the frequency of love?

I have found the most profound techniques for personal transformation in the ancient meditation practices from the Kundalini Yoga tradition. They work by shifting our identity out of the sensations of mind and fear, while transmuting our awareness into the identity of soul, heart and love. I have a deeply sensitive constitution, and I depend on techniques from Kundalini Yoga to keep me energetically aligned and grounded. My body can act like a vacuum drawing in the energy around me, and without my spiritual practice, it would be very difficult for me to keep my heart wide open.  I am sure many of you reading this have the same experiences.

I would like to share an easy Kundalini exercise, known as “ego eradicator” that can work in just sixty seconds. Ego eradicator combines an arm position with a powerful breathing technique known as “Breath of Fire”. To do this powerful exercise, sit with a straight spine in a comfortable place where you will not be disturbed. Close your eyes. Raise your arms overhead spread slightly to the sides creating a sixty degree angle.  Keep your elbows straight. If you imagine your heart as the center of a circle then your arms should be pointing to the 10 o’clock and 2 o’clock position, creating a triangle overhead. Curl your fingers so that the fingertips touch the mounds on the palms that are at the base of each finger. The thumbs should extend out away from the hands, and should point straight up towards the sky. Relax your shoulders back and down so the heart is open and full of light.

To learn Breath of Fire, start by panting through your mouth like a puppy on a hot day. Your breaths should be a series of short forceful exhalations, at a speed of two to three exhalations per second. Feel your belly contract inwards with each exhalation. The inhalation comes in effortlessly between the exhalations, creating an easy natural balance of airflow. Once you have the rhythm, keep it going as you close your mouth. Now you are breathing at the same speed, but in and out of your nose.  Imagine that your thumbs are like antennae charging up your aura. You may feel the sensation of an arc of electricity flowing from thumb to thumb. If this is new to you, continue for sixty seconds. If it feels comfortable, set your timer for three minutes or longer.

This simple breath can produce complicated inner changes as we let go of tension that may have been carried for years in our abdominal areas. Strong emotions may start to emerge as blocks and subconscious wounds are released and cleared. If you are feeling intense sensations, be patient and continue a daily practice until you feel cleansed of the toxic thoughts. It is worth bringing the repressed emotions up and out; otherwise, they remain stored in our subconscious, perpetually fueling the fire of fear.

To finish, take one long beautiful breath and raise your arms up straight overhead.  Touch your thumb tips lightly together. Hold that breath and hold your arms straight up for as long as you feel comfortable. Then when you are ready, spread your fingers wide, and very slowly let the breath release out through your nose as you slowly lower your arms. As the arms come down imagine you are drawing a white light all around you. This light will enhance your electromagnetic field and draw more light into your life. Like attracts like. It is important to continue to sit, breathing gently and noticing the flow of breath in and out of the lungs. Relax and observe the sensation of energy moving in your hands. Enjoy this bliss. The mind is full of illusion, yet this moment of clarity is the reality of your existence.  It is Love.

We live in the midst of so much uncertainty. Yet, if we can take even one minute from each day to devote to our inner being, we can begin developing incredible peace, harmony and fulfillment on a personal level. In my experience, this enables us to share our hearts with the world, be present for our families, and see opportunities in the midst of challenges. Kundalini meditations can transform us naturally into the beautiful being we are meant to be.  This magical meditation can move us out of our resistances and into the light. Just like a miracle.

Honoring the Light within while expecting Miracles…

Always through the Heart with Love,

Karena
